Dates
This hackathon will take place from 10:00 AM- 10:00 PM on Saturday, November 9th at the Miller Learning Center on UGA's campus.
Eligibility
You must be an active pledge in Kappa Theta Pi Phi Colony's Alpha Chapter to participate in this hackathon.
Prizes
The winning team will receive:
- LinkedIn Feature: A post on LinkedIn recognizing the team and the project, showcasing it to the KTP network and potential recruiters.
- Deployment Opportunity: KTP will consider deploying the tool for actual use, giving the winning project real-world impact.
- Listserv Spotlight: A special feature on the Computer Science Listserv to highlight the project to the wider community.
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Judges will review the submissions after the final presentation. The team with the highest overall score across all criteria will be announced as the winner.
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with KTP Core Values (25%): How well does the tool support KTP’s mission of fostering professional growth, networking, tech skills, or community engagement?
- User Experience and Design (20%): Is the tool user-friendly, visually appealing, and engaging? Does it offer an intuitive experience for users?
- Innovation and Creativity (20%): How original is the concept? Does it bring a unique approach to enhancing the KTP experience?
- Scalability and Longevity (20%): Is the tool designed to grow and evolve with future KTP members? Can it stay relevant for multiple cohorts?
- Technical Execution (15%): Is the project technically sound? Are the features well-implemented, and is the codebase well-organized?
